Hey I have a question, so I just got the dark silver shield today and it looks pretty nice. I am thinking of upgrading it a few times, maybe all +5 in another play through, but my question is since I am a temple knight and using blessed weapons along with the moonlight sword+1 will the shield lower how strong my attacks are since i saw that the shield gains an ability after upgraded to lower magic attack, but raise magic defense. Would this it apply to my blessed weapons and the moonlight sword+1, since the moonlight sword raises my magic attack power? Does this hurt me or is it applies strictly to magic casting?

it may affect the attack power of your moonlight sword, but your blessed weapons whould  be fine.

if you put the dark shilver shield and moonlight sword+1 on your left hand, then problem solved 'cause you can't equip them at the same time.

awesome,  thanks wenlan

Man this game is FKIN AWESOME! It's awesomeness totally blind sighted me. Anyways I have a few questions. Does this game ever explain things? What I mean is like, I found a shield that I couldn't equip, unless it was with two hands (same thing with a sword), and I didn't know that it was because my strength was too low. Also, why is it that when I level up my strength, my attack power doesn't increase, only physical defense? Is it cuz I'm a thief (hating on thieves?!?).

-This game is soo good that it's doing something I didn't think possible, it's battling Uncharted 2 for my time.

Guys, ho do I equip more magic spells? Do I have to just put more stats into magic? btw I am a knight, just in case that influences much.

You need to put points into Magic in order to get a spell slot. With that slot you can remember 1 spell (can be done via the trainer) you can always go back to the trainer and chang which spell you are remembering free of charge, but if you want to take 2 spells you'll need more magic.

also, be aware that spells like Heal are FAITH based, and require the appropriate stat in FAITH to get a slot (memory slot).

I have a question for you experts. I'm a wanderer, I know it doesn't matter but I like the fast types.

I currently Have 15 VIT 10 INT(for soul arrow) 16 endurance, 16 strength, 18 Dexterity, 10 magic ( for soul arrow) 7 faith and 15 luck.

How high should i get my strength early in the game? I have the entire brushwood set, though I cant really use it because i need 26 str to use the shield.

Should I keep pumping STR? I guess what i'm asking is, what's a good plae to stop improving my strength for the begining?

I like being agile, but I obviously see the advantages to bigger weapons.. demon's souls is nice because you can switch on the go.

go all the way to +99....

infact all stats to +99 j/k......mayb

if you want to use all the weapons in the game your going to need 36 str 24 dex 24 int 24 faith... if you want to plat the game your going to need 3.5 play throughs.  new game + is twice as hard though, so just lvl like crazy.

Attack power varies from weapon to weapon. If you look at the stats of your main weapon you will see that it has bonuses in certain attributes varying from A to E. The higher the letter is, the more bonus you get from that particular weapon by leveling that particular attribute.

Edit: Also, same thing for me. I have a hard time playing Uncharted 2 when I know that Demon's Souls is sitting right next to my PS3. They are both unbelievable games.

Feel free to add me as your friend-PSN ID: Bobo012893

It fell to 89 in the metacritic ratings :'( Stupid reviewers giving it 85+ This game deserves a AAA.
I wish those idiots stop reviewing the game already.

I know its been covered somewhere in this thread, but I can't find it....where can I get a catalyst (I think thats what its called) so I can cast heal? So far I've beaten 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, and 3-1. Was going to go on to 4-1 next, but if theres a level available where I can get a catalyst I'll go to that next.....

Well, I'm late to the party it seems. I'm only soul level 27. If anyone is still having issues with the Red Knight, I recommend a large shield. He was owning me, until I found a Steel Shield. So far I'm favoring the large shield/spear combination.

I had my WTF moment in demon souls last night and it exposes my only problem with this game. So I summon someone in 1-4 to help me defeat the dragon and the major demon. Well we do the I stay back he runs under the dragon and uses his arrows. Than he says I used so many arrows I should give him a weapon. I say I don't carry spare equipment so he goes ok and first he knocks my black phantom mosemleum key guy off the ledge so no key for me. He says its a mistake than when we get to the boss he doesn't enter the fog so I'm by myself. I end up losing 85,000 soul's and 2 soul levels and he message me saying I should have giving him a weapon. If I was able to choose the people I played with at least I wouldn't have been paired with an a-hole. This is a second time a blue phantom has ruined some of the experience for me. I was so pissed I turned of the game. This game is near perfect for me. But the multiplayer experience is taking so much away from this game. sorry for wall of text.
