dying in soul form can also prevent pure blackening the world you try to explore

if the black phantom invasion truly bugs you, or you are trying to pure white the world, staying in Soul form is a better way to go

keep in mind, the popular stages BP like the most are: 1-3, 1-4, 4-1, and 4-2

LOL.... I killed the first boss.... then I saved the knight... then some damn dogs or wolves killed me twice and the dragon almost killed me before that... Am I not suppose to be going this way yet?

if you are having a hard time in 1-2 you might want to try 2-1 or 3-1

I would not go to 3.1

The mind flayers are going to rip you a new one...

How do you know which zone is 2-1, 3-1, etc. I went in apparently in 5-1 after I did 1-2, killed the first boss off 5-1 then got destroyed in 5-2.

Well Bolletarian Palace is 1 naturally.
And then as you walk up the stairs the numbering happens in the order that you encounter the warp stones, so for example, 'Stonefang tunnel' is 2 coz its located next to 'Bolletarian Palace' and then 'Tower of Latria'(3) and so on and so forth.

ah ok, I went the other way around lol.

I picked the first left stone facing the Boletarian one hehe.

Personally, I think 3-1 is one of the easiest. There are not many enemies and the mindflayers are not that hard if you use range attacks with a thief ring on. For me, I needed that clever rat ring, so I did 3-1 first. It saves you a lot of arrows for the red dragon in 1-2.
