You can kill that Dragon in 1-2. You cant take him out with arrows.

Once he is dead in 2-1 he will be gone in 1-1.

Is it normal though that after I killed the Red Dragon in 1-2 both vanished in 1-1?

Easy way to do this it is like this:

Go up the shortcut that you unlocked where you found the cling ring at the bottom.

IMPORTANT, near the top of the staircase, there are a couple of barrels so that you have to skirt around. DO NOT DESTROY THESE!

Clear the top of all enemies.

Then go near the red-eyes till he sees you and raises his shield. Either hit him with a soul arrow or lure him so that he decides to chase you.

Go back to the stair well and past the barrels and the stand still facing the knight so that you are at a 45 degree angle from the barrels.

The barrels block him so his A.I. tries to take the straight path from him to you. But between you and him is NOTHING!

I managed to get him to fall 1 time. When I went down the stairs to loot his body, he killed me. Bastard survived the fall.

I also do not see how people can beat this in 30 hours on their first playthrough. I am around 12-13 now and I only completed 1-1, 1-2 and 2-1. Finished majority of 3-1.

By the way, when you kill the Red Dragon you get his soul. It can't be traded for anything as far as I know, but consuming it gioves you 10,000 souls.

Anyone know how to use magic? Like what button to press cuz I have the heal spell and cant figure out how to use it.

He did not fall from the right place, only if he falls from in front of the barrells, does he die. If he falls some other way, then he still survives,

in this case lure him again and make him fall into the bottomless pit where the crossbowman and the two ghouls are (of course you should clear that area first)
