I had mentioned Prince of Persia. Now, I read the original post, I need to ask exactly what you are looking for. Lego games don't really have death in them, but the Legos flying apart is a death of a store. Your character dying is a major part of most games. That is the challenge you avoid.
Driving games, without weapons, usually don't have death in them. Of course, there is the question about whether or not the game has a story. If it does, then that would count. And sports titles fit into this also. Then again, they are weak on story.
