Forums - Gaming - 1UP Yours Podcast- September 14: Some New TGS Info (and some old)

I don't care that he apparently thinks he wasted his money....I just wouldn't expect him to still own something he hates...like I said, if I bought a system, and I decided it sucked and I didn't want it, I'd sell it. Get some games I DID like.

Perhaps he's holding out for MGS and good games later? It'd be stupid to sell it at a loss only to rebuy it later. Unless he sells it before a major price cut, it's not really a big deal...less hassle...just hold onto it for the good games that come later.

I hear plenty of Wii owners griping about it, saying it was a waste of money...I don't see why this is so different...people buy systems and are disappointed...that's life.  As long as they don't troll about it all the time, it's not a big deal.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

C'mon... he didn't buy this PS3. He can't lose any money.

Show me a PS3 owner who doesn't like the sixaxis controller and i'll show you 100 who like it. What's wrong with pressure sensitive buttons? I have sold many PS3s, since it's my job to sell consoles, and the only complaint i've ever heard about the controller is that some former XBOX owners had a little trouble getting used to it, but now they love it. I've heard alot of people who don't own the system, and never played it, bitch about the controller. I ask them why they don't like it and they tell me something they read off the internet, but that they've never actually tried it.

Badass news for Star Ocean 4! And badass news for next-gen Persona! I might have to buy Persona 3 right now to show my appreciation.

I am not an Ace Combat 4, but glad to know it is coming too.

I now expect the next KH proper to go to the Wii because of the Star Ocean thing. Square knows who made them as big as they are today, but they know they don't have to be Sony's crutch either.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Also I don't know how you can gripe about wasting money on a Wii....it's WAY cheaper than the other two, at least you would have that consolation.

$600 isn't the worst thing in the world for some people. And $250 could be quite a bit out for younger teens.

Honestly, you might save $50-$100 by selling it now and buying one again later...but the hassle of selling, shipping perhaps, and then buying a new one...not to mention missing the option of being able to play it if you really wanted to...even haters play it once in a while...

Just because a video game system costs $600 doesn't mean someone who buys it can't be disappointed, yet still want to keep it for future games...

What is your PSN id?

Try Henry_Killinger. I have a couple different accounts, but I think this is the correct spelling for my main one. Try it without the underscore if it doesn't go through.

have yet to become a problem.

i got HS Warhawk Resistance Motorstorm.

What game are they really that bad with ?

I find the triggers way to sensitive. In RFOM, just lightly touching the bottom, analog triggers will set them off - for example set up a custom config with fire main weapon on R2.

Another instance is sitting the controller on the table, and that small impact making the trigger fast forward.

I just prefer the style of triggers on the Dreamcast and Xbox. I think the deeper swing and shape is far superior to the PS3 variation.

Sieaner owns a ps3? LMAO!! look no offense but you hate it so much that its impossible for you to own it, no person that owns the ps3 hates on it. And whats your psn id?

I guess you can look at it like loving FF7 while never having played it.

I've got 6 friends who can't buy it cus of financial problems n your like

OH I HAVE THE Ps3 N I HATE IT

I'm not the one who made the PS3 $600

And I don't hate the PS3, I'm just more critical of it because it has the most problems.

GAF has had numerous threads about PS3 owners gripes with the Sixaxis. Not to mention planty of the bloggers don't care for the controller as well. Maybe the people you sell the PS3 to aren't "hardcore" enough to care, or maybe they really haven't had any experience with other controllers.

For starters, its just too small for my hands (I can palm a basketball), and I really can't stand the analog stick placement for any game besides Katamari.

C'mon... he didn't buy this PS3. He can't lose any money.

Uhh, why would you say that? I purchased this thing with my own money.

Perhaps he's holding out for MGS and good games later? It'd be stupid to sell it at a loss only to rebuy it later. Unless he sells it before a major price cut, it's not really a big deal...less hassle...just hold onto it for the good games that come later.

Exactly. Why would I sell the thing now when I'm still occasionally enjoying RFOM and Motorstorm online, or when I'm playing Warhawk?

And I am waiting for MGS4, but I'm also waiting for Haze and Uncharted - as I've mentioned in plenty of threads.

I don't care that he apparently thinks he wasted his money....I just wouldn't expect him to still own something he hates...like I said, if I bought a system, and I decided it sucked and I didn't want it, I'd sell it. Get some games I DID like.

I don't feel like I've wasted money and I don't hate the system.

Still, sorry for shattering your sheltered world view.
