I don't think anything will happen to Japanese gaming.

vgchartz doesn't have all the data, Madworld and NMH have both sold more than what the press came up with, the same with GTA for DS, it's impossible to track all the numbers with the way things work atm. motion control doesn't take that much resource to come up with lol, it's just a control scheme, it's just something new vs something that has been around for longer than a decade so devs need time to get used to it. comparing graphics work to a control scheme is like building an empire vs building a chair.

Your logic is failing you in this aspect, you need to understand why the Wii is selling so well, how Nintendo is marketing it, and why it would attact somebody who's mainly a PC gamer like me( I haven't owned a console for myself since DC, and you want to bring graphics into this apparently.) or somebody who might have given up on gaming entirely. You want to compare graphics? I can tell you that I'm looking at console graphics like how you are looking at the Wii in general, they are all trash to me my friend, but that doesn't mean they have bad game play now does it? There are great games on all the systems, a lot of 3rd party simply didn't dump the cash into making Wii games their priority and that's slowly changing because they've missed out on so much cash already. good games will sale and make a profit in general, but you have to make them first, finger at the wrong place. oh, and Wii does have improved graphics over last gen, nobody's bothered to tap into it yet though, it's not as much of a jump as the 360 or PS3, but it's been improved /shrug.
