After people have played GT5: prologue I seriously doubt half of those will buy GT5 as it was a HUGE disappointment specially after playing other sim games such as forza 2, graphics aren't everything as that game clearly showed lol

i think it would be very hard to sell over 9 millions with only 21 millions consoles sold but lets see...it will definatlyy sell well!

Why would you add prologue to the total sales it doesn't even make sense.  GT1 sold 2.55 million and it was downhill from there.  GT3 sold slightly more than GT2 but it went back down from there.  GT5 will not sell more than 4 in Japan.  No game has even sold half that much in Japan on PS3 yet. 

Just showing the franchise is as strong as ever, there were 3 disk GT releases after GT3 and they sold damn well.

First GT of each gen is always the highest selling, thats what sales show dont they.  GT5 is on course to be one of the higher selling ones just like GT and GT3

Of course none has sold half as much, then FF13 will come and change everything.  GT5 will release post FF13 Japan.

GT3 relaesed on 12 million user base now what ehh ? is it that hard to understand that before th edamn game even released the user base will increase alot.  That over the time its sold user abse will increase.

GTp buyers are hardcore GT fans, many of you call it a demo yet they shell out 40 just to get a taste of the full GT.

By the way GTs fanbase does not even give a rats ass about a far inferior game like Forza.  Look at sales kid the only dissapointment is a $40 demo sales as good as the best Forza.

The PS3 installed has proven it cannot support even one title over 5 million copies. Do you actually want to whole heartedly support that theory?

Forza isn't inferior its everything gran turismo has plus damage and minus graphics.

The only reason GT sells so much better is because it has the name on it.

Point in case:  GT5: Prologue got 80 on metacritic, Forza 2 got 90, the only reason why GT5: Prologue sold almost as much as Forza 2 is the name..nothing more nothing less.  

Prologue could have gotten a 50 metacritic and it still would have almost sold the same, simply because of the name.

So really forza 2 is not inferior in the least to GT, it just isn't quite as well known and die hard GT fanboys won't even try playing it because they assume its a trash game.

 The point is PS2 userbase reached 125 millions and contributed to the GT3 numbers. PS3 userbase is in a completely different league. You can't compare PS2 with PS3, it's like comparing games on the GC vs. the Wii.

Way inferior, to millions of GT fans it simply wont do.

Simple way to explain is all the Halo fans would not like K2 gamepaly.  Now both games got reviewd +9s but that just wont do.

By the way for some one that argues agianst GTs popualrity you sure think its Name is uber powerfull enough to sell a 5/10 score by the millions.
