The most simple way of seeing how GT5 will far out Halo3 or any other Halo.


MS strong hold is NS where FPS rule and Halo is life, and Sony strong hold is Europe where GT is god.

- Basically GT5 in Europe will do what Halo3 did in NA, what will push GT over halo is.
- GT in NA > Halo in Europe.
- GT in Japan is around 2 million, Halo there is non existent.

Gran Turismo is world wide, Halo is not. NA is not enough to out sale the world does not get any simpler then that.

How much did Halo 3 sell last week? 29,527 copies. It is currently at 9.44 million.

So, to sell another 3 million copies and reach your prediction, it would have to sell at that rate for over two years. I don't see that happening. Even better, to sell 15 million, Halo 3 would need to sell at the rate I mentioned for nearly four years.

Even taking holiday boosts into consideration, I don't see that happening.

And you claim 7-9 million for GT5, which is pretty much what I think (8-9 million), so I have no problem there. But people saying Forza 3 will outsell GT5...yeah, when Quantum Theory outsells Gears of War 2.

Check the 4th quarter sales of Halo 3. New gamers who buy Xbox 360's are more likely to pick up a copy of Halo 3. 11-12 million copies sold LTD isn't far fetched. It's almost at 10 million while last year it was in the mid 8 million before 4th quarter.

actually you could be wrong on that.. NA almost always sells more software then the rest of the world combined each week.

If there is one thing that I have leard in life is that people never learn! Even with history, sales etc, etc, many are still naive. The GT franchise is a monster. NON-GAMERS buy this game, ALL over the world. the demo has sold over 3 mill! Like I said, some people are slow learners.

This is also true.  But idk with the bundle that halo 3 is getting along with Halo: odst (which will probably increase Halo 3 sales as well) I just don't see GT outselling Halo 3, it will probably be pretty close though.

In a Eu vs NA alone battle, EU is 500 million people NA 330 Iam betting on current and past numbers, Best selling Halo is 5 million from reaching the best selling GT. 

Bundle or not its still NA vs the world.  Superball does +100 million, World Cup Final does +1 billion. 

Racing will always beat out run and gun.
