I agree on the 360 thing and DS lite buttons.

However, the Wii thing you said is bollocks. You're probably referring to the IR, you have to be quite close tp the screen for the system to register that, but the motion cotrols work from very far away, like TWRoO said.

I thought he was complaining about having to be a certain distance away from the TV.... if he was complaining about needing to be too close then it certainly works from a lot further than 6 feet, again you should adjust the sensitivity and it should be fine up to 5 metres (13 feet) away in most households, at the poorest 4 metres, which is still 10 feet

I agree with the PSP statement and the DS statement. Guess you got confused with the Wii statement, as thats just not the case (I guess you meant IR).

For the Wii, i would not mind a slight improvement of the nunchuck though. Not only in term of motion control, but also in term of ergonomics. Somehow, it just does not feel right after an extended use of time. As if my hands slip off the nunchuck!!

Maybe i need a nundom.

Huh?

You have odd shaped hands then... the nunchuck is basically hand shaped. (would be better wireless though)

Ah, hmm well that could be... now I don't know what he was complaining about anymore. :p

Anyway, yeah, the IR can be adjusted to work fine whether you're close up or a bit farther away, though I'm usually too lazy to do so and my IR signal gets all jumpy and messy when I get more than about 3 metres away from the screen. :p But who plays more than a few meters away from their screen anyway?

But the motion controls are entirely different, there it doesn't matter whether you're 1 foot or 30 feet away from your tv.

Ok... Here goes nothing..

The 360 has the worst Directional pad I've ever used.
I can't refute this as I have not used it, but X-boxs is awful I know

The PSP has the worst analog stick(or should I call it stub) I've ever used.
Not used it extensively but it looks awkward

The DS's L and R buttons jam from collection dust too often then they should. (DSLite at least)
Again, not used it much

The PS3's Analog layout  and mushroom-shaped analog sticks hurts my thumbs.
By analogue layout I assume you mean the two control sticks.... and I agree on that part... I don't see how convex sticks hurts your thumbs though

The fact that I have to be 6 feet away from my Wii for it to register any of my gesture-based actions is awful.
Bollocks... you don't know how the Wii works then.... gesture based motion controls will register from anywhere within range (0 feet up to at least 30 feet if not more, although it can depend on the environment)... Hell I can set up Wii Sports downstairs and play bowling with a Wii remote upstairs in the opposite corner of our house.(although I obviously can't see what's going on)

Perhaps you are thinking of the Infra Red controls? In which case they should work as close as 1 metre if you set the sensitivity correctly (that's 3 feet btw) mine works perfectly from about 4-5 feet away.... and I play games in a box room... If you are needing to be nearer to the TV than I am in my room then I feel sorry for you and the cupboard you live in.

Thank you.

You're Welcome.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

That's a good thing... they are there as guides, if you want to go between the 8 (octa not hexa) points you can, but it is easier to find the perfect up/right/left/down etc.

I don't want to sound sad, but when I've been bored and spent a whole day on my ps3 and i mean a whole day like 10-12 hour sessions, I have never Hurt my hand using the Ps3, ps2 or ps1 analogue sticks, your hands must be made out of candy floss or something, your not a real man in fact all of your problems with the controllers sound like an accumulative list of what people have said many times before , i dont get how the ps3 sticks can cause hand problems, never heard about it with ps2 or ps1 weird, seems like a gay attempt at bashing the ps3 tbh
