We all know the ps3 is doing good especially at the price point their at right now.  But what do think would happen if this scenario  were to play out.  Sony said they have an electrifying announcement for monday what if this was it or mabey some monday and some of it at E3.

1.  120GB ps3 with infamous at 350 or just the 80gb for 350 or even 400 with infamous.

2. 250gb for 450 or 500 with 450 with one game and 500 with 2 games old or new mabey like killzone and lbp appeal for dad and wife and kids.

Also an announcement at E3 for a release date on gt5 and also a bundle with price drop announced just before the game comes out.

These things i don't think will ever really happen because sony just doesn't seem to know how do shit right this generation. Don't get me wrong i love sony and the ps3 but imo I think this could make a huge difference especially in Europe.

What are your guys thoughts discuss. 

They need to have a price drop in Europe for sure and also advertise more, i rarely see any Sony ad's here in the UK anymore since the recent Killzone 2 ad campaign which seems to end rather abruptly!

Ya that is another thing they definitely need to advertise more in the us it barley exists on tv and hire a good company to do it because even when they do do it its pretty lame but that i don't even see as a possibility.

They need a price drop, that's for sure. Bundles are nice, but there's something about seeing a low price that resonates, especially in tough economic times. My guess is that they will drop around E3, as will Microsoft. However, if Sony decides not to drop their price, then that will confirm that they aren't interested in selling large numbers of units (a long-term strategy), only in short-term financials.

Now, Nintendo SHOULD drop their price around E3, but since they don't have to, they will probably try to sop up as much money as they can now and lower when they feel their sales are soft.

i think justa 300$ 80g with B/C would be fine enough and then maybe a 400$ 160g with B/C with uncharted2 or GT5 or Infamous for the holidays for the world

but i think sony will figure it out b4 the year ends

Any combination of : Price drop, slim, BC re-added, software bundles, more advertising.

80GB for $300.

A simple price drop and they will take over.
