I am not sure I get all that UMD hate. I like having a physical drive, it means I can SELL it once I am done and also that I can buy USED games.
I would definitely NOT want it to happen.
Was plausible until MAG, Heavy Rain and SotC.

You know it's just a rumor, sony is not that stupid to remove UMD, since there's games coming out for it. Than again they removed BC for Ps3, so who knows.

I get tired of this... "It is at 4000 already!" stuff already. Don't forget there is DS, DSL, and DSi. I wouldn't doubt by the time this rumored PSP is released there will be a new DS within 6 months of that time.
The second part is just trolling unless you think Japan is just going to stop buying PSPs and games for no reason. Not to mention that it still sells great as a system itself and has a few blockbuster games here and there in EU and America.

Exactly. Hit the nail on the head. One PSP with UMD and one w/o. This way makes sense other than releasing a new one and dropping the old.

How about a mouse accessory, so the PSP could do portable RTS titles? Also, make the FPS genre doable on the PSP.

this is so strange....i dont understand why its hard for ppl to grasp to different models on the market. just because 4000/PSP2 comes doesn't mean 3000 isnt supported. its like the DSI you get a camera and specially made games for the loss of GBA slot or you can get DS slime your choice
