Forums - General - British people only! Come in!

Perhaps it is the US that should drink tea.

One of the most bizarre conversations I had was with this girl in America on thanksgiving day a few years back. I said the British don't celebrate thanksgiving. She was thoroughly confused, she just didn't understand that the British have no need to thank the native Americans. She couldn't get how the British don't celebrate American holidays. She was pretty small minded.

But to be honest with some of the posts I've been reading lately it seems as though this anti-Britishness is a growing situation.

I came in here expecting a secret group of British posters taunting the rest of the world, and found nothing but stupid anti-British trolling?

Why would anybody celebrate the loss of a colony over 200 years later?

You want that! okay then

@YesWiiCan, hahaha you fell for it too.

@highwaystar, You really should put a counter on that.

What's seriously not to like? I've not read any myself though.

Also, on subject

"Why do you British people drink tea to much?"

Do you mean 'so' or 'too' here? And we drink coffee, USAian's don't drink enough tea.

Neither country drinks enough hot chocolate.

Hmm, pie.

I drink tea but not a British. Does coming in here makes me British? Am I 25% British now? What happens when I became British?

To be honest I drink far far more coffee than tea.

Cool, I drink far far too much tea. I should get into coffees, I mean nice ones, not crap in a jar like Nescafe.

Hmm, pie.

Tea tastes better. And I'm an American.

Yet I still fully support my brethren who threw it off a boat. Why? Because Americans like destroying shit. I can get behind that ideal.

You start wearing tight t-shirts, your ears grow obnoxiously large, your teeth go to hell, and you develop a real sense of humor.
