Forums - PC - I've not been on WOW for more than a year and I've forgotten everything!

After reaching level 70 as a Warlock very quickly I gave up, but recently decided to start playing again to possibly get to lvl 80, unfortunately I find apart from basic playing skills I have forgotten everything!

Anyone else done this and did you find you got back into it again quickly?

I didn't play for 6 months, and I forgot a little, (But noting extreme)

Guitar Hero 3/ Smash Hits

I've been clean for over a year now. And I like it that way lol. I have WoW installed on my comp, but I don't want to activate it again. I played a mage and rogue. Depending on how much they changed the talent tree and stuff, I'm sure the rogue won't be hard to pick up again. The mage might be a bit tricky though. You're a lock, just dot dot dot hahaha jk.

I've been sober for over a year now too. I still get urges and cravings but upcoming console games should be able to satisfy me.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

I went a year and a few months without playing before WOTLk came out. I was scared how I knew by instinct where all my keys were to more or less pull off the same shit I used to before, but without consciously realizing what it is I was pressing. It was the weirdest/saddest feeling ever....

Why would anyone want to start playing World of Warcraft again?

It's like taking up smoking again after you worked hard to quit. It just doesn't make sense.

Haven't left in over 3 years so can't really answer....

Disagree with the smoking comment :P
My Wow playing time is a pure function of the raiding content available, not of any addiction.
Before Ulduar I was down to playing 6 hours a week spread over 2 nights ( time to clear every raid). Now I am back to 6 days a week and around 20-24 hours...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem.
