I will choose the console that sticks the closest to the traditional method. But I will first choose the coolest one first.

Depends on the games. I like the Wiimote, but my console decision is on the games, not the controller.

Plus it's not like you're going to be waggling the entire time. What are the Wii's buttons there for?

 

 

My main interest in the Wii has everything to do with its BC and emulation capabilities. Do you really think i'll change my mind?

i highly doubt we have to worry about anything like the wii mote on ps consoles but if they did they would need to impress me first

I think whether you like it or not motion controls are the way of the future. Motion controls are great when implemented the right way like in Zack and Wiki and Wario Ware. There is no doubt Sony and Microsoft are going to have motion controls for each hand next gen much like the Wii and nunchuks. Why? Because sales show that's what the masses want, it brings new gameplay experiences, opens up more gameplay possibilities for developers etc.

Now just because it has motion controls doesn't mean every game will use it. The wiimote, in my opinion, is the most brilliant controller because it is so versatile. You can turn it on its side, use the wiimote/nunchuck combo, or use it has a pointer.

But you do like PS3's/360's games right? It would have different games from the Wii anyway :3

I've seen plenty of games that switched to motion. Most of them sucked. The only games I can even imagine playing well with motion are core nintendo titles. I cannot imagine Halo, MGS, Mass Effect, GeOW or any game of the sort with motion controls. Mario and Zelda are more simple and require as many buttons. I cannot wait to get my Wii, but I have more important things since I got my two most important systems.

This will happen next gen. The winner is going to be a traditional system. Right now its pretty much half regular games and half motion gaming. The Ps4 will be motion controls, so will the Nintendo console. Then xbox will be a standard console with uber graphics and everything. If Ps4 becomes a wii rip off. I shall never buy it.
