Well, I just called nintendo and they will send me a free package to send back the Wii and Powerbrick. Not to forget the Receipt.
I have all my receipts except the one for the Wii. Just great.
sparkit34,
No errors for me, just doesnt read disks on start and cant enter settings without it freezing.
This is just on start up, after several ON/OFF's everything works fine.

Sorry thats what i meant by errors. I also have problems recognizing games on start up since the last update. So i would not be surprised if it has something to do with the update. I am very curious if other people have the same problem.

Yep thats it.
Its definitely a software problem rather than hardware.
I guess we either have to downgrade our firmware or just wait for the next firmware to be released.
| One_touch_KO said: Hmm... If you have an SD card you can solve that via the homebrew channel by yourself. By doing a downgrade, and then update again. It's not that hard. Or installing new IOS's maybe. If you ring Nintendo it might take 2 or 3 weeks. |
If you ring Nintendo it takes all of 1 week. If you live next to the repair center it takes all of 1 day

| Ialphagear said: One_touch_KO, Nothing like that mate. Not worth modding since I'm only playing it for a few games. (Twilight Princess, Mario Galaxy and MP3) It all happened after I updated to 4.0e firmware. |
I've got 40+ Wii games and I don't even find it worth it modding. You loose your warranty, your Wii bricks faster plus you're a filthy thief. Call Nintendo, its not a common thing. Everything works fine with both my Wii's.

I have had that happen on occasion -- where games were not recognized on start-up -- even before the upgrade to 4.0U. Usually the culprit was SSBB, so I attributed it to the game, not the system.
Since the update, the only trouble I have had has been system crashes when I first try to run Madworld. Of course, when I reset, everything works fine.

A Wii game a week, that's all I ask.
I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |
