Agreed XD, if a PS3 gets a price cut it is game over, PS3 may not be able to take over America, but they will take over the Japan market and EU market. Anyone disagree with me?

sony needs a stronger 1rst party. sony needs his own zelda, halo and gears. games like uncharted and gow are fantastic games, but they are "too niche" comparing to the competition. sony needs games taht sell 5 million units no matter what.

People taunted Sony for having no games at the beginning of the gen. Now, they put their 1st and 2nd party to work and make some awesome games, while managing to keep the third parties developing for them.

Now they just need to start telling people about their games. I know there is something wrong when I'm the only person out of all my friends that knows about Little Big Planet, Valkyria (Sega game but AAA exclusive), Killzone 2, etc.

While I do think a price cut would but HUGE for the PS3, lets not forget that the 360 is more than likely in just as good of a place for another price cut. If MS went for $149 for the arcade I think they would maintain their margin over a $300 PS3 (which more than likely would really be $350). Of course if Ninty ever drops the price none of this really matters. A $199 Wii would be even more unstoppable.

 

But yes I do think a price cut would lead to a sustained 15%-25% boost. In the end though it seems MS has more money they are willing to blow than Sony in this race. I think they would price the 360 at whatever it takes to beat Sony, even if it means $129. MS is dangerous simply because they are not afraid to lose billions to win this HD race. I don't think Sony is in the same position.

Even if Microsoft drops the price the PS3 price cut will do even more damage, GT5 will take PS3 over 360 in Others, and FFVXIII, FFXIII, Kingdom Hearts 3 will help get the ps3 neck and neck with the Wii in Japan.

 You've heard it before, and you're going to hear it again. When the price drops to $300 the PS3 will be outselling the 360 regularly. I bet within 2 years of it being $300 it catches up to the 360 in sales.

 

When you say catch up to 360 sales do you mean the "sold" gap?...And I mean 360 would have to stop selling period for sony to catch up in a year....0  Xbox 360 consoles a month...If Sony matches 360 sales on a monthly basis then it wont make much of a difference in a year...I doubt the PS3 will take over 360 this year

No, but what I am saying is, that the PS3 will over take the 360 again in others, and in Japan the PS3 will be neck and neck with the Wii. If they manage to do good in those regions, the gap between the 360 and PS3 will be around 5-4 million.

This was Unveiled 2 days ago in New York (See Pic)...And The Cardinals Wide Reciever Went on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Yesterday to promote the game ...Jimmy Fallon showed the Xbox 360 DVD Case and did not mention the Ps3 what so ever...Can This really help the pS3? In the states madden is a big  game and New York City is big....And the PS3 was not even mentioned and more so the Billboard shows the 360 cover box...sure we know it's on both consoles but does EA's have some sort of Agenda?
