I don't get this stereotype.

Most of the people that i know that spend the majority of their time gaming are anything but fat.

I know more people that are fat that don't play videogames then people that do play and are.

So why do non-gamers consider us to be fat??

Thats a very good possiblility....I don't think i know anyone that is extremely hardcore at gaming.

Maybe because console gaming usually (Omitting the Wii) has a person in a sedentary position. The stereotype is pretty close to a couch potato.

Black's have Fried Chicken...White's have Rotisserie

Irish....Well....They Hate their Sovereign and Can't do anything about it...I'd Drink a lot too....

As for the Gamers Stereotype...It's the easiest Target to hit by the media that wants their ratings base to consider them self above the people that don't care about stuff that happens on E!, Most of MTV, BET, American Idol, Will and Grace, Star Magazine,

Unlike all those tool based Medium's alot of the trendier Magazine's now Cover Video games...Maxim,Stuff and What not
