Blue Dragon was given low scores it didn't deserve by western (US) reviewers, i think this will too. Maybe LO will get them as well. By ign's JRPG standards, 8.3 is incredible
starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS
Am i missing something here? IGN dont give JRPG's low scores. and how is 8.3 low? Where you maybe expecting it to be a huge RPG. JRPG's that dont try anything new and play it safe gets moderate scores. I will be getting this game after I beat a few games cause I like these games.
It's strange they gave it's lasting appeal such a low score, I've read previews of the game that said that certain things are only unlockable after you beat the game at least once.
too bad PS3 owners have to wait a bit longer for this extremely good looking game (to me it looks better than Crysis , Gears and Bioshock combined , although those definately are technically superior)
Heh, I just finally picked the game (Trusty Bell aka ES). Some pretty good sales at various stores for it. Just under 4000 yen (~$34) for a new copy of the game, sweet! :)
Haven't had a chance to play it(besides the demo) yet though. Too many good games out/coming out lately to play them all

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

8.3 isn't too shabby considering the lasting appeal and gameplay are so low.
We all knew that the game was rather short, and lacked the depth Blue Dragon did. Why is this any suprise?
Either way, it does show bias against more traditional JRPGs like Blue Dragon - a game like BD gets hammered in review scores, when every single person I've talked to prefered BD to ES in terms of quality.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
