England is included in the United Kingdom figures, which are seperate.

So many mainland Europe figures are missing, such as for Italy, Germany/Switzerland/Austria, Benelux, Poland, Russia and many other countries not represented in this data.

So we have to stick to what we do have data for.

These statistics you show are correct
However, if these numbers (and you say so) are correct, then it means there are massive amounts of consoles (over 1.5-2 million) on shelves, which seems unreasonable.

It doesn't matter WHAT figure you get. You just need to look at the amount shipped and then ask yourself : 'Hmm, does this seem reasonable or not'.

In other words, It's not important if the numbers don't add up.

I think VGChartz tries to be as accurate as possible, so I think it's important to try to explain these differences or maybe make adjustments accordingly.

I fully agree with you that looking at the amount of units retailers bought from these companies are crucial for our estimations. But some consoles may take more storage space than others per unit, so the amount of units on the shelves may be different per console assuming equal shelf space per console.

Those UK numbers are for the end of 2008 and have been released months ago. Considering this it doesn't make sense the other figures would be from January 31 either.
