You mean the children with bad grades don't you?
The manager is actually separating his target market much like an "upscale restaurant" only serving to appropriate clientele.
Which is not bad. Perhaps bad for business a bit, but I think I know where all the kids with straight As are going...it probably draws in substantial business for kids with decent grades too.

He got suspended. I say good riddens. Policies like that are ridiculous and are BULLSHIT.
It wasn't a well thought out policy but a suspension seems a little unnecessary.
He did think it was going to cause trouble with his superiors when interviewed, guess he got that right.
A businesses main objective is to make money. Refusing sales doesn't make money, therefore the business has an issue. It wasn't corporate policy, and it's not like he owned the store. GameStop was completely justified in their approach.
