Excitebots: Trick Racing came out yesterday and not a single copy was sold at where I work and no customer knew what it was. Based on this, I'm thinking it will sell 30k week one but keep that up for many weeks.
What do you guys think?
(also, it's only two player offline multiplayer... huge minus in my books.)

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

it will be a flop if you expect it to sell like Mario Kart... otherwise, it should sell a little better than Excite Truck and break 1 million WW...

I hate to say it, it's becoming a mantra, but with no advertising and no real brand recgonition, it's not going to have a big openning but it's apparently fun and should have good legs based on word of mouth.
Mario Kart will be this year's Mario Kart.

It will be neither as others have said. No racing game (infact no game that is not a Wii series game) will ever sell like Mario Kart Wii let alone Excitebots.
