EA Goes Undercover in MySims Agents for the Wii and Nintendo DS

Join Your Favorite MySims On An Exciting Mystery-Solving Adventure This Fall!

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Love mysteries, twisting plots and sinister villains? Love puzzles, adventure and high tech gadgets? Now players can enjoy the thrill of solving the mystery, while re-joining their MySims™ friends. EA Play Label of Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:ERTS), today announced MySims™ Agents, an original IP, mystery-solving adventure game for the Wii and Nintendo DSwhere players are the heroic agents who must stop a sinister plot that threatens the fate of an entire city.

“We’re thrilled to bring you MySims Agents, the next game from MySims, and something completely different than any MySims game before,” said Tim LeTourneau, General Manager of the MySims franchise. “Its mystery-meets-adventure theme allows players to hone their problem-solving skills while still enjoying all of the beloved MySims charm; characters, customization and humor.”

MySims Agents for the Wii

In MySims Agents players take on the role of a special agent hired to foil the sinister plans of Morcubus, lord of the criminal underworld. By recruiting different MySims, each with their own special characteristics, players can build up their very own crime-busting dream team. From tracking footprints and using forensics to picking locks, hacking into computers, following leads and collecting clues, players must rely on their wits, skills and trusty gadgets to piece together the clues to solve the mystery. Jump aboard the jet to reach an ancient temple, a spooky mansion or an icy mountaintop chalet in search of clues that lead players closer to the sinister Morcubus. Return from the adventure with cool treasures that players can use to construct and customize their headquarters and make it their own.

MySims Agents for the Nintendo DS

In MySims Agents on the Nintendo DS players are agents assigned by their agency to help the mayor stop a notorious thief from stealing an ancient treasure. By searching for clues, solving intricate puzzles and matching wits with the thief, gamers can protect the treasure and the town! Along the way they can talk to their favorite MySims, sharpen their agent skills with 10 different mini-games, and search through underground caverns for clues to the thief’s undoing!

Wow. EA really is determined to turn My Sims in to a major Brand. Sims/Racers/Party games and now the Adventure genre. I'm sure this won't be the last we see of Mysims either.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

wow, this is the 5th game in the franchise, and it started what, 2 years ago?
not sure about the rest, but the first mysims for the ds was crap.

thanks god, not a party game!

i'm so happy now, i really enjoyed MySims and MySims Kingdom, so creative!

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

This is good, I'm glad EA have switched from party to adventure with MySims just as Ubi has switched the rabbids from party to platformer.

Although I'd argue the Rabbids brand is higher quality and better known within the Wii crowd I think it's great to see both franchises become a success on Wii and it continues to give Wii exclusive titles you can't get anywhere else which is what makes the Wii special.

Looks like another potential million seller. Expect advertising.

Yes, expect people sneezing guns and gadgets :P

What I find the most interesting is that the sequel -- My Sims Kingdom -- costs less than the original My Sims (at least on the Wii).

Five games in two years --> milking a franchise. Though this one has the potential to be something and to fill a gaming need, unlike party and kart racing (the former entered an already filled arena, the latter went up against a juggernaut game for the system).

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

not even close. look at

need for speed - 3 games that will be released in 2009.

guitar hero, singstar and rockband - i don't even know how many of them were announced for this year(ps2 had like 40 singstar games and ps3 will have 6 by the end of 2009). i can' even count how many bands will have their own GH game this year.
