x2 Blu-ray a Joke, lol. Yet  x2 Blu-ray  in PS3 Reads slightly faster than the 360's x8 DL DVD drive. Also cos Blu-ray isn't required to spin fast in  order to have fast read speeds, so noise levels are very quiet, when compared to the noisey as hell 360 drive.

The DVD drive in the Xbox 360 is 12x foe ALL DVD media...

even if that is the case, it is still his opinion and he can't insult people like that

There's nothing wrong with calling a spade, a spade.

Your wrong, It's x12  for SL DVD 4.7Gb Games any game using more is on a 8x DL DVD9. And BTW around 90% of 360 games come on DL DVD9 discs now which means they are read at x8 not x12. So Your wrong and I'm right.

 2x Blu-ray Drive (72Mbps(9MB/s))
Single Layer (2x CLV) - Constant Linear Velocity (Same speed across entire disk)
Double Layer - Couldn't find any data but no games have been released on a double layer yet.

Entire Blu-ray Disk is read at 9MB/s.

12x DVD-Rom Drive SL (9.25MB/S-15.85MB/s(AVG ~8x(10.57MB/s) DL (4.36MB/s-10.57MB/s(AVG ~6x(7.93MB/s)
SL(DVD-5) 12x Max (5-12x Full CAV) - Constant Angular Velocity (Speed Varies from edge to edge)
DL(DVD-9) 8x Max (3.3-8x Full CAV) - Constant Angular Velocity (Speed Varies from edge to edge)

So if DVD-9 on the X360 is only 6.8 GB effective storage space, how much effective storage space is in our double layer PC DVDs?

And how much of the PS3s Blu ray 50Gb are effective storage?

The PS3 reads at 9 MB/s. The 360 reads at more than 11 MB/s, as anyone can see by installing a game to the hard drive.

NBA Live 09: 6.3 GB in 9m7s (or 11.8 MB/s)
The Force Unleashed: 6.6 GB in 9m47s (or 11.51 MB/s)

These are double-layer games.

IMO Killzone 2 for this generation of consoles is of similar effect as Shadow of the Beast was with regard to the Amiga vs ST wars. Shadow of the Beast was one of the fist games to really clearly show off the Amiga's added potential vs the ST (of course there have been plenty of even more impressive Amiga games after this and there were impressive Amiga games before that as well).

MMM the good old days of comparing systems.

I loved Shadow of the Beast. And the music was so atmospheric and grim that I almost got depressed.

Someone really needs to crack out the owned pics for Guiding Light, talk about being on fire.

Someone's assesment (not me) of MikeB in early 2004, the second paragraph, first sentence is interesting:

Sound familiar to how he acts today?
