As everyone knows the Virtual Console is widely popular, and is selling millions of games on the download. However one thing I would like to point out, and I noticed this when I first downloaded my first VC game. I noticed a funny thing in the EULA. (that thing none of you read)

So in 90 days when your Wii blows up. You loose EVERYTHING you had. Unless you ship it back to nintendo to get it fixed. EG: You buy 400$ worth of VC games. Your Wii smokes after 6 months for some freakish reason. You have 2 choices. 1. Buy a new Wii, and then re-buy the VC games you wanna play. 2. Send the Wii back to nintendo, and wait 2 weeks for it to come back, and pray to god you still have access to your content. And pay some ungodly ammount to have it fixed. Am I the only person who has noticed that? Sony's downloadable content is linked to your PSN name. I tested it the other day. I started a download of flOw onto a 2nd PS3 yesterday. I canceled the download immediately after it started. That means if my PS3 smokes. I can download it on my new one. The VC games are linked to the Wii. Not you. Pay some ungodly amount to have it fixed!! Where did you get that from. I don't think if your system broke for a freakish reason you have to pay for it. My ds had a cracked hinge, that's it. You know what they did? They sent me a brand new one for free. I didn't even pay shipping and handling. Your right this is an issue, but I don't think something like you describe will happen. $400 in VC games, that's ridiculous. I think the only way that would happen would be over a long period of time, by which this issue will be solved already. Your overthinking it. It's almost like your trying to find faults on purpose.......

Your DS was under warrenty tho. the Wii has a 90 day warrenty. My warrenty is up in like a week. I'm gonna be stuck paying nintendo to fix it... if I wanna keep my VC games. EDIT: It's not broke... not yet at least. lol

I just wanna say in defense of this. I was thinking about how I can download PS3 games and how it is linked to the username, and how that is awesome. And then I thought. "CRAP! Where did I read that in the EULA for nintendo... I think it's linked directly to the Wii... And it states specifically. If your wii goes... Your VC games go.

How do you know this? It wasn't under warrenty. I had it over a year before I sent it in. Once again if it breaks for unexpected reasons, you don't have to pay for it. Remember what happened with the first batch of 360's.

Yeah. They wouldnt service them for free, so everyone bought a 2nd one. And then 3 months before the PS3 launch, Microsoft changed their service agreement, and everyone shipped off the brokeass 360's. (I know 2 people that did that) EDIT: Yeah, they now have 2 360's. Also, you really lucked out on getting your DS replaced. While it is under warranty. Once the warranty is over. They don't have to do anything. ;)

Ha you ignored what I said in my first post. This issue will be fixed.

It will be fixed? Where-said? It sounds win-win for Nintendo. EDIT: my 2nd wii. (wich one of my rich friends is using until he gets one to give me) has every VC game on it.

I don't think I lucked out on my ds. I heard there was about a less than 1% problem with ds systems that either had one dead pixel or a broken hinge. LESS than 1%. Anyone who sent those in got them replaced free of charge. That is just smart business.
