Forums - Nintendo - NINTENDO AND EA PARTNER UP: what does it mean?

So EA anounced today that both Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010 and EA SPORTS Grand Slam Tennis would be bundled with Wii Motion Plus.

So according to Release dates that means EA will be the First company to use Motion plus.

It seems unheard of that nintendo would allow some other company to show off a periferal as big as Wii Motion plus.

are both of EA's sports games up to par to nintendo made games?

will it trully show off what wii motion plus can do?

What does this mean for nintendo,EA and the future of third parties on nintendo platforms?

*edit* PGA tour box art has a wifi logo with pay to play on it

Probably. It's not often that Nintendo bundles their hardware with third party software.

Surprised that it's not with Virtua Tennis 2009, and that it's with Grand Slam Tennis - Nintendo seems to be closer with Sega than EA.

maybe a Red Steel 2 bundle is now possible?

I think it's decent of Nintendo to do (limited time) 3rd party bundles since they are failing to meet (what I can only assume was) their own launch expectations with Wii Sports Resort (I wonder why though, half the modes were playable last year).

It would be egg on the face of Nintendo if Virtua, Grand Slam, TW all launched and there was no WM+ to play them with.

I assume they bundled with EA because EA is planning to spend the marketing $$$ on the casual market to promote WM+ gameplay. Something Nintendo will ultimately benefit from themselves.

may or may not be

if it was bundled that would mean that the game would be able to use wii motiuon plus to its full capacity rather than some tack on becuase they would be afraid of limiting thier sales due to people not having wii motion plus.

hello how are you.

Well, expect more party games.

Red Steel 2 with Wii Motion Plus is infact the game I am expecting the more for the Wii right now till the next Zelda is anounced.
