@Soriku, your sig graphics is a little crazy. I find the zoom in part to his eye showing just his red pupil a little disturbing. You may cause a few people to have seizures.
I don't really know. I mean are games like Wii Sports and Wii Fit that lack any storylines what so ever and that are mainly multi-player games really all that? Whatever happened to games like FFVI where you lock yourself away from the world and just veg out while you play them to completion for weeks on end?

So basically it would be an even worse off GC (although GC had a lot of great games but so did Wii). I think I'll keep what I got.

What? You mean we can't have RPG's on the Wii?
Damn, I was really looking forward to DQX, Arc Rise Fantasia, FFCC: The Crystal Bearers, Valhalla Knights, Tales of Graces, etc... Sucks to know these won't be RPG's now.

Those games like FF VI are still being made. Many will say they aren't as good, but that type of game has not died out. Wii Sports and Wii Fit are games that you take out what you put into them. FF VI is a game that is put out in front of you and you take what is given. I have many good memories of story driven games, and everyone else does also. We have the exact same story to tell. I guarantee though that if I asked people to tell their Wii Sports stories, they would each be unique, interesting, and in many cases more memorable. That is what social gaming has given us, the ability to create memories off of our social gatherings that tie into playing these games.

Seems a strange question to ask. If all three consoles launched as HD capable then I think it not beyond the realms to have seen the Wii struggle. Luckily they did not fall into that trap and so have a runaway success, the success of which probably should answer your question.
When the Wii does finally go HD both the 360 and the PS3 will have paved the way for it to start all over again with another success story.
