I have read several threads about reviews and how sometimes they are no good. But I usually pay attention to the metacritic's review scores and if there is a game with very bad reviews I may not buy it. However I have found a couple of games I think deserved better:

Lara Croft Tomb Raider Anniversary                Metacritic Score: 73%

Excite Truck                                                Metacritic Score: 72%

I think these games are great, both of them higher than 85%

In your opinion, which are the most underrated Wii games?

I miss the days where people used to consider 70 and up a good score worth buying the game

If I had more money and specially more time I wouldn't be so demanding...

Yeah I miss those days too

@OP your using metacritic for Wii games. You are wasting your time. This is the generation to off handedly drop scores for just being a Wii game. Read user reviews and ignore the fanboys in general. There are just too many fanboys doing official reviews these days.

That is why I made this thread.

Do you have a game to recommend, please?

Wii Music, however i might be biased seeing as how I used to play Trumpet and Tuba in school. I like the flexibility the game gives you with the songs, you can make them as accurate or goofy as you want

CoD:WaW was pretty damn good. I have played it a ton. Probably around 6 days online and at least 15-20 hours offline. If you don't have a PS3 or 360 then it is worth it (since most people claim the Wii version is inferior). It is just missing a few missions, has fewer people online (8 total, and I like the lower amount of people because you have more of a chance to run, crouch, and hide without getting shot by a ton of people), and no zombie mode. Since I don't have a 360 or PS it doesn't bother me at all. I am not too sure what metacritic rating is because I refuse to ever go to that site.

I also see the criticisms of the scoring are from people who actually think it's competative scoring and not reviewing your own work. Do they really think Nintendo would allow you to choose points?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Oh I agree. Mostly because shooters are better on PC or the Wii. CoD:Waw is however the veru best FPS for the Wii, and I think I have played them all.

I think it would be cool if you could let other people rate your work and the avg would show on the album in your list (wii music)

These are the most obvious ones for me, with the score i'd give...

Mario Kart (9.5), Fire Emblem (9.0), Disaster (8.5), Excite Truck (8.5), Wario Land (8.5)

Curiously, they're all 1st party, btw...

But when i look at Metacritic, i think many 3rd party games have been treated a little bit too harsh as well, some low 70s and low 80s should be a few points higher... but not much much more, usually...

If you consider that most of these games have been reviewed with the same kind of bias from the same kind of websites, the overall "hierarchy" is nearly the same anyway, so Metacritic is still helpful to see which games are bad, decent, great or excellent...

The worst thing is that Metacritic is now used to "mathematically prove" Wii's library is inferior to the ones of PS360, which is a matter of taste... and bias...
