This is what happens when you live in a country where it's the governments job to take care of you. They get to decide what's best for you, it's no longer your concern. The government removes that burden for you.
Yes, you get to live a minimum guaranteed standard of living, but everything comes with a price. |

Don't be fooled by your ideologies. The best nations function upon not only 1 view but multiple. The most thriving nations in the world has atleast some form of socialism.

Obviously the middle ground is the best place to be. The fact that something like this is even being considered shows how Socialistic ideals are taking prominence. I have some serious doubts this will get passed. But quite honestly, it's just the beginning of things of this nature.

That's the point! This will not get passed if people don't want it. If it was true socialist (Even communist) then they would have done it by now and no matter how much we protested it would have happened.
Also, Staude, I agree, the best economies are a fusion of ideas.

Actually it has nothing to do with socialism. If it gets passed it'll be more bcause of capitalism as it'll be ignorant and unknowing people who passes it to stimulate the economy. IE create larger capital. Not for the government but for all isps and (in their mind) internet buisness.
Something like this would have a equal chance to get passed in america.
This was a response to you both..
On your last sentence @highwaystar i agree completely. Fusion societies thrive the most. Do not fear what you don't know. Try to understand it and combine the best aspects with the best aspects of what you know already. To create something new consisting of only the best ^^
