The Ranger GPS connects to the GBA Port of the Nintendo DS Lite. In addition to a GPS receiver, the unit provides 2D and 3D maps on the top DS display screen to find where you are and where you need to go. It also provides map browsing hotkeys and raw GPS data information on the bottom screen. The Ranger features a rechargeable battery and claims to have enough memory “for even larger map databases,” according to the product website. And what’s really nice, is that the Ranger GPS can also be used with PDAs and laptop computers via the USB connection, so you aren’t just limited to the Nintendo DS Lite for your navigational needs. Unfortunately there is no information on the pricing for the Ranger GPS or where it can even be purchased.
