Forums - Gaming - Peter Moore - MS looking to go "one step further" with motion, SONY too!

Nintendo games stinking next generation confirmed.
(This is a joke about "smellivision" -- not an editorial statement on Nintendo).

Seriously, if all the consoles are similar in nature, than multi-platform will again mean more than two consoles.

The question though is how can Nintendo ZIG if everyone else is ZAGGING.

My guess is that this will be done on how the games are played. It could be the on-line help/viewing system that Nintendo recently patented. In other words, difficulty can be set none (where the game plays itself and you watch a movie) to extreme.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

First off, being that a well designed motion controller should be able to encapsulate the functionality of both the Wiimote+Nunchuck as well as the functionality of the XBox 360 and PS3 controllers I find the comments that the inclusion of motion controlls on next generation consoles "Ruins" gaming to be remarkably moronic ...

With that said, the biggest problem for Microsoft and Sony will be that they will be creating a first generation motion contoller while Nintendo will be working on their third-iteration ... On top of this, Nintendo will also have access to several of the most talented designers in the world who will have completed several games using their first and second iteration controllers and can give feedback on how the controller should be designed.

This may not seem like that major of an advantage, but Nintendo may be able to outshine Microsoft and Sony simply because they have far more experience in developing motion controlls and unconventional user interfaces.

what else is new...nintendo creates something sony and microsoft copy it...

How does a company who doesn't do motion go 'one step further' with motion? That would be like me going 'one step further' as a football fan..what is there to do, run out on the field naked during a game? So is MS going to go streaking through motion-technology-companies businesses??

What are you talking about Sparda2020? Sony and Microsoft will be the first to create "better" motion controls! They did not want to get into motion controls until they could make it better. So it may seem like they are copying but they are REALLY first.

They probably gave Nintendo and the companies that came up with it before Nintendo the idea to do it in the 1st place! And they only did that so that they could be 1st in making it better. So there!

Please no.

Personally, I think it's hard to top the interactivity of EyeToy/PS Eye tech.  I mean you are moving your arms, head, and legs.

Nintendo really created everything in the modern controller, motion controller or classic style. So no matter what, their controller interface will always be one step ahead of the competition.

Besides it's not all about the controllers but how the games use them. Whoever has the best games, best price, best package, will come out on top.
