These are the numbers of first day sales of Blue Ray edition of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children in japan: the extended version of the movie sold around 100,000 copies.

The version of the movie that came packaged with Final Fantasy XIII demo was the best seller of all the available bundles selling 70,000 copies. The overwhelming sales of the Final Fantasy XIII bundle would seem to indicate that the demo was a driving factor behind the package, especially considering that the game was marked up an extra 1,000 yen.

Last year in Japan, the best selling anime/video game related Blu Ray sold about 30K units in it's first day.

Eh, I read something earlier today about the possibility of it actually making its way across the sea. Its not confirmed yet, but it'd be great if it does come over.

Yeah, the videos of the FF demo are really growing on me. It looks like classic Final Fantasy turn based goodness to me, all wrapped up in juicy HD goodness.
