Forums - Sony - PS3 Install Problem

Got Valkyria Chronicles last week, installed it to hard drive and I could not get passed the 3rd scene because it was stuck on the loading screen with music coming in and out, as if it was skipping and couldn't get a chance to fully load..

I uninstalled the Install and the game worked perfect..


Now I just got Gran Turismo 5p, I had to install it and doing the same thing as VC, but only at the opening movie.

it's as if I'm watching a streaming movie on 56k, plays then stops, plays, then stops..

Any suggestions?


I have a Day One 60gig (now120gig) PS3

I have 83 gigs of free space, didn't try to uninstall then reinstall yet..

Will try that and give it another go..

I'm going to guess you have a problem with your HDD. This is just a theory, but you could have a corrupt sector and when you installed the first time it installed over that sector. You then re-installed which moved it to a different location.

You could always pull the HDD and hook it up to a PC and run some diagnostic tools. (so long as they used FAT32 for the file system)




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
