infamous8: we don't know what platform starhawk is for yet, let alone if it's releated to warhawk. while it's very possible, you are making assumptions about a game that nobody really knows about yet.

Not sure if this is a joke. Sony registered the trademark Starhawk, that should tell you what platform it's on.

Anyway, I don't think 3rd party exclusives are a thing of the past, there's a reason why MS fanboys hold on so tightly to the thought of ME2 and why Sony fanboys held MGS4 and currently hold 13VS so tightly. There's a reason why the mere mention of the possibility that 13VS might go multiplatform (without a source) turned many PS3 fans against VS, with them saying that it'd be a mediocre FF spin off.

I do agree with you though, Sony will come in force next generation. Hopefully they won't do a Nintendo and abandon 3rd party exclusives almost entirely and will have a good mix. But I don't think we'll see a mega GT sized blockbustre from Sony's first party studios (given what they've accomplished thus far) any time soon, but you never know.

My favourite new IP for the PS3 is Uncharted. Not because of how good Uncharted 1 was (there were much better games on the platform) but because of the promise of the franchise (Uncharted 2 looks amazing, hopefully it won't have a gimped plot this time around).

Calamity: What if it's a PSP game? Sony seems to be pouring quite a bit of effort into the PSP this year so I don't think you can list it as a PS3 game just yet.

It was trademarked by Sony, but youre right...it could be a PSP title. Though I doubt it. Warhawk has been out for a while and one would have to think it's perfect time for a sequel to drop. As far as being related to WarHawk... that's pretty much a given.

Guys... I wasnt trying to list EVERY new Ip. I was simply listing the bigger ones that have a chance to be marquee exclusive fracnshises. Demon Souls might not even make it's way to North America (was it even developed by Sony?), and Afrika is nothing more than a realistic version of PokeMon Snap or whatever it was called.

I think my favorite IP out of all the ips this year is Infamous.
