Forums - General - Anyone else find it odd that Holocaust denial will land you in jail?

Ehm... didn't he get jail time because he defeid court orders?? He is not going to jail of what he wrote and published.. He is going to jail because they said he should stop doing that but he ignored them....

That the Court ordered him to stop publishing someting is another thing.. but he is going to jail for not listing to the Court... not for denying the Holocaust..

That's like when people go to jail for "Resisting arrest" when they weren't doing anything illegal in the first place.

^Like in US history books that have about 2-4 sentences talking about the Vikings discovering America first then having 2-5 pages on Christopher Columbus.

Well I was thinking more about stuff that isn't even mentioned.  For example... the British freed the slaves much like Lincoln did during the revolutionary war.  The US winning prolonged slavery.

Yea, they mainly freed them because they wanted more people to help them fight. It worked for the most part considering a decent amount of slaves joined up.

I think it was more... it gave them the excuse to... + Manpower.

I mean they'd already abolished slaves and the slave trade everywhere else i believe. (I could be off though.)

They just couldn't in the New World because of well the whole continent being malcontents in the first place.

and lying to the UN and international countries to start a war that has caused up to a million civilian deaths is allowed? Yea it doesn't make sense. Go spain

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Eh?

Go Spain? About what dropping out of Iraq or Afghanistan because they got train bombed. If you ever watched Terrorstorm by Alex Jones he brings up questions about state sponsored terrorism stating that Spain might have been behind the train bombings just like England may have been behind the bus / subway bombings.

Well were talking about rewriting history or decieving the public about the truth of something. I think Iraq is a pretty big case of deception perpetrated by Britain and the US. Come to think of it why doesn't foxnews get in trouble for making veiled threats about Obama's terrorist links, these are all cases of mass deception and clearly defamatory.

You are right, each countries propaganda has only gotten worse over time.
