It's been confirmed by everyone, including the companies involved in making the game, that the Wii version was going to look like this. I don't see how it's a problem since they are making this game with the strengths of the Wii involved. And they are upfront about it. Hell, the two different covers are a clue into this.

Don't give me that. Realistc games looked fine last gen, why the hell would they not look like that on the Wii. Everyone says that the Wii is as strong as an original Xbox. If that is the case then they could make it look as realistic as the any game on the xbox. You know why they did not do that? Cause the Wii is a kid's console and this style appeals to them more. Thats the hard truth. Get over it.

lol.

I'm 33 years old. I enjoy my Wii. I also do and would enjoy a PS360. However, with my family and work I don't have time to play more than one console, so I bought Wii due to certain Nintendo branded games.

My teenage brothers have a 360 and routinely bust my balls for not buying one. However, everytime I get a new game they play it at my house a lot. In fact the kids I know (immediate friends/family kids) aged 5-16 all talk and hype more about their 360's than their Wii's. They all play them more, mostly due to FPS and online features. Two areas that may finally be eliminated with the coming of Conduit.

Just because something is not imaged in a realistic manner does not make it kiddie. Certain games are definitely kiddie, but, the differences between the Wii and PS360 versions of Ghostbusters don't seem to be a kiddie theme. In fact they seem to have the exact same theme, its just an art style difference.

I think both look cool in their own, way, but from what I've been reading, many are saying the Wii version is better. Probably because of the controls and the unique art style.

Madworld was very cartoony. Yet it definitely isn't a kiddie game. I actually only played it after my kids were in bed.

You sir seem to be the child and by your logic should only be playing a Wii.

I'm 21 and i own a Wii, its still a kid console.

Only in your mind, in other normal peoples minds and non trolls minds it´s both a kid console and an adault console and a family console.

It´s all of them while the other two only are one of the three.

That style isn't done like that to make it look like a kids game, it's also not made to look like a port of a ps2/xbox game. They did the style to make it look fun, which in all honesty does make it look fun. I'm sorry if you have a closed mind on gaming to the point where you automatically assume that if a game looks slightly cartoonish then it will lose all fun and playability for adults but it's a terrible way to view games. I think they were simply trying to make the game look fun therefore that's why it looks the way it does.

When the fuck did i say that? This whole thread is about treating the wii with some damn respect, but all you people see to do is say "Oh its ok that that the devlopers are not trying very hard, we just love to bend over and take it." The game will probably be fun, but its a matter of principal, you Wii apoligist, who NEVER critize the wii for all the many flaws it has, are the biggest problem.

I love gaming, most likely more than you, and i actually care about the state of the industry. So screw you for accusing me of being closed minded. Go back to playing your shovelware and pretending its something better.

So you complain about the visuals but then turn around and say that the Wii is a kid's console?

Could you troll a little less?

Spongebob is a kids cartoon, yet adults like it. THAT DOES NOT MEAN ITS AN ADULT SHOW.

With game adaptations like this the Wii will always be seen as a kids console, and the fact that they opted to make the game look that way while the other versions look more realistic is a slap in the face to every Wii owner, but fortunatly for them most Wii owners are ignorant or masochist.

I can't wait to point my proton pack at my TV and bust some ghosts. I've been waiting my whole life for this game. I will invite all PS360 owners I know to come to my house and play this game with the real ghostbusting controls we've been waiting for, for 20 years.

Yes the Wii is a kids console, and the game reflects that. The Wii is perfactly capable of making a normal looking game.

I would not even care if it wasn't for the fact that the other versions look realistic. What that shows me is that developers think that that have to make "kid friendly" looking games for the wii. This game is basically a BB gun to the other versions sniper rifle, or the tricycle to the other versions motocycle. Sure you can have fun with a BB gun and a tricycle, but its not the same. Hell maybe you guys like riding tricyles.

Can you imagine if Capcom did that to their Dead Rising and RE4 remakes?

They would have been the laughing stock of the industry.

Obviously you are having issues with understanding that it's not a bad thing that the ghostbusters doesn't look like the console version. Have you seen the gameplay for the Wii version? Does it look that bad? I mean it's not as though they are trying to make a crappy game like Quantum of Solace and claim that it's amazing. They are making a version that looks different because it will flow better.

And don't get bitchy with me just because nobody is agreeing with your view on the wii version looking terrible. I might even get the wii version depending on what I think of it when I see more stuff on it. I enjoy gaming too but before I jump to conclusions on whether a game is going to suck or not, I'd rather wait and see more information on it. Also, you don't know me or any of the games I play and if you consider them to be "shovelware" then so be it, I'm proud of the shovelware I play. At least I have fun with it.

I never said the game was gonna suck. My problem is with the developers thinking that they have to make there game look that way on the wii, which is a lie. This whole thing would not be a problem if the HD versions did not exist, but they do and it shos me exactly how Atari is thinking. As a Wii owner that scares and infuriates me.

This will become a trend, just you wait.

There's a difference between "kid friendly" and "family friendly."

The greatest success of the Wii has been getting the whole family to play games together. Sure some games are just for kids, but now there are games for kids to play with their parents together. And there are still games like No More Heroes, Resident Evil 4, and MadWorld, which would never in a million years be on "a kids console."

If you've seen a Ghostbusters movie, you might remember that it was an awesome movie for the whole family, not just for kids, and also not just for adults. It was also not very realistic (it's about busting ghosts by the way). In fact, the 3rd movie will be animated.
