Forums - Gaming - PS3 OR Wii?

The Wii has No More Heroes.

The choice is obvious.

Rockband II is good on both systems.

I seem to recall the first rockband is rather gimped on the wii. Although much of the was if you already had guitar hero guitar, so that probably will not matter to you... the other bad point about the first one was the download content doesn't work for the wii if I remember. From what I understand these are not issues in the second rockband for the wii.

I'd say get the Wii.

You're going to play rock band for a while, but you have to think about games after that, and if the Wii library is more appealing than the PS3's, go the Wii.

Also, when it comes to graphics, doesn't matter which platform, Rock band is not a pretty looking game. Plus you'll be too focused on the notes to really take notice.

Whilst PS3 has DLC, keep in mind that DLC
Also, think about your friends and family who will play the game with you, if your friends have PS3 versions or Wii versions of the game, get the same version, because you'll be able to swap out instruments (so your friend can bring his/her guitar to your place and vice versa so you have a full set, without having to buy 2 guitars).

Well if we look at numbers wise and past trtends for some reason the Wii versions sell more there i know this is true for GH but Rockband maybe not but sinc3e the SD solution there should not be any hardware DLC problems in the future and being biased i say Wii bc LoZ:TP is epic and so is SSBB

Whilst PS3 has DLC, keep in mind that DLC < Games in terms of value. You may be able to get 20 more songs thanks to DLC on the PS3, but if you don't like many of the PS3's other games, you've wasted a lot of money just for the entry fee of paying for additional songs. Not to mention that rock band/guitar hero are (at least) 1 game per year franchises, so it's not like you'll be stuck playing the same songs forever if you buy the Wii version.

Also, think about your friends and family who will play the game with you, if your friends have PS3 versions or Wii versions of the game, get the same version, because you'll be able to swap out instruments (so your friend can bring his/her guitar to your place and vice versa so you have a full set, without having to buy 2 guitars).

ps3 can do the same, even from guitar hero intruments with recent updates.

grab the wii

beyond grab the wii

for the price of a ps3 you could get it and rockband, and some good games used probobly

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.
