A quick glance over this thread would tell you that no one outside the OP stated as such.

I would most definately agree with you here. She, like everybody else, could hardly be compared to Elaine Page and she's certainly not as delightful as Kristin Chenoweth (girlfriend and I would have loved to have seen her in Wicked... where I live, there isn't much opportunity to see much of anything ) but I think most people simply viewed this somewhat as a cinderella story.

Is this case any more unique than many others we've seen like it? No, but that doesn't make it any less touching.

I'm just pointing out to the people that think she's the most incredible voice out there that there is so much better out there.  Yes, compared to the Brittney Spears and Beyonce's or whoever is popular, she blows them out of the water, but that's like beating a six year old at arm wrestling.

And yeah Kristin Chenoweth has this annoying little nasal voice but damnit I like her.  It's a shame in the entire span of Pushing Daisies they only had her sing, what, twice?  Such a waste.  They even had Ellen Greene on the show and didn't have her sing once I think, though that's understandable since she had throat cancer at point I think.

I never said she'd be better than Elaine Page.  Thanks for the whole strawman argument thing.  I appreciate it.  I said she could be a legend.  I feel that's hardly debatable.  Some of the most well known (simular to popular) singers today don't come anywhere near this.  You just acknowledged she's far better than Britney Spears and Beyonce, and the latter, if not a legend, will come very close to being one (not because her singing's better than that of everyone else, but because of her success).

I don't think you got my point about Britney Spears and other popular artists in that howling dogs are better than them but whatever.

I do get your point, but they could still easily be legends despite that.  All I'm saying is if they could do that just by being able to carry a tune, imagine what someone like that woman could do if she were as attractive as they were/are.

She is a bit nasaly, but I think it adds to her style... I'm just making excuses, I even liked her version of 'That's How You Know' from Enchanted at the Oscars, a movie that I, unashamedly, love.

There are a few things wrong with your statement:

1. She's not ugly, she just doesn't know how to present herself.  Just because someone isn't built like a supermodel doesn't mean they're hideous.  Give that woman a day with the What Not To Wear people and she could look fantastic and nobody would call her ugly by any means.
2. You don't have to be a super model to be in a show.  The great thing about stage is that there are no close ups.  Hell, even spend an hour on youTube and look at the people in shows and you'll realize they are not all the super glamorous people.
3. Finally, as I said, she doesn't have that amazing of a voice.  She has a better voice than your usualy pop artist, but as you pointed out she's never going to be one.  If she were to try to get onto stage productions, she probably wouldn't make it either because there are just better out there.  Or I'm sorry, she would make it, but she would never be the top person on a big show, be an understufy, or either catch the lead and play in a crappy place like Dallas.

She could be absolutely stunning and she would still probably not get far at all.
