I do get your point, but they could still easily be legends despite that. All I'm saying is if they could do that just by being able to carry a tune, imagine what someone like that woman could do if she were as attractive as they were/are.

There are a few things wrong with your statement:
- She's not ugly, she just doesn't know how to present herself. Just because someone isn't built like a supermodel doesn't mean they're hideous. Give that woman a day with the What Not To Wear people and she could look fantastic and nobody would call her ugly by any means.
- You don't have to be a super model to be in a show. The great thing about stage is that there are no close ups. Hell, even spend an hour on youTube and look at the people in shows and you'll realize they are not all the super glamorous people.
- Finally, as I said, she doesn't have that amazing of a voice. She has a better voice than your usualy pop artist, but as you pointed out she's never going to be one. If she were to try to get onto stage productions, she probably wouldn't make it either because there are just better out there. Or I'm sorry, she would make it, but she would never be the top person on a big show, be an understufy, or either catch the lead and play in a crappy place like Dallas.
She could be absolutely stunning and she would still probably not get far at all. The only ones that make a huge deal of her looks are the producers of the show because they want a better show that more people to talk about.

) but I think most people simply viewed this somewhat as a cinderella story.
