I don't think I understand this right, cuz what I am reading is that you are saying that because Bush started this, its... ok?

What I am saying is that you, and a lot of other people, are making mountains out of molehills. There have been reports like these in the past, and there will be more in the future. Here is another one on the leftwing from April 2001.

The hypocrisy blows my mind. People want the government to keep us safe from the extremists, and then the very same people complain when the government does the research to do so.

Have you read this report? Among the people for consideration are Veterans, Anti-Abortion advocates, Proponents of 3rd Party Candidates, People who own guns and advocate the 2nd Amendment, People who are against Illegal Immigration and would speak out against this Administrations desire to give them amnesty, and much more of the basic Conservative ideology.
Here is something else, they are using the President's race as another point that "Most statements by rightwing extremists have been rhetorical, expressing concerns about the election of the first African American president, but stopping short of calls for violent action...." So they are calling anyone that opposes Obama racist. Ridiculous.
Anyone that fits into any ONE of the categories in the report could be on a watch list of some sort.
EDIT: Also, wasn't DHS started to look out for purpose of looking out for terrorist groups like Al Qaeda, Hamas, The Weather Underground?
