Is this really hype, though? I mean he's just saying the increase in pre-orders. =\

Never understood that one, people saying "x game failed" when the fact of the matter is that the games have been great.

Sony fans hyped MGS4 = AAA game

Sony fans hyped LBP = AAA game

Sony fans hyped KZ2 = AAA game

Sony fans are how hyping Uncharted 2 and GOW III.....pretty sure how those games will end up. :/

Not enough hype in the world though for GT5 :(

Yeah, I don't get how KZ 2 was brought down by the hype. We don't really know its development costs, but it will probably make its money back selling 2.5-3m copies, though Sony will want more profit in the future. Obviously this is not a great indicator of sales, but hopefully this can make a million, though I am not expecting anything huge from this game. It should be a good game with good sales

ppl whos saying KZ2 failed are most likely the same ppl who said KZ2 is gonna suck back in it's development days.

This isnt a hype thread. I told you what they told me, and i added a question to get some information on how much pre-orders a 64th ranked game had? Since i couldnt compare it to anything.

ioi will know since he gets data from amazon, but I don't think it is very representative of the market. Even in the UK, where amazon is basically the cheapest place to buy things, it goes against the rest of the world with LBP being the top seller (top 5 at least as it is about £13 last time I checked) and the PS3 HW being above 360 HW

If its sales changed by 147%, it sold 1.47 copies, if they increased 147%, then they sold 2.47 copies
