Both games seem to have the same art style and direction (sandbox city, super power main character, executions). I would like to hear you guys' impression on the titles and why you would choose one over the other

The Truth? Nobody knows yet.

Spinning available material, inFamous looks like the overall better game in terms of polish and consistency of vision, however Prototype looks like its more about mayhem and violence, which will appeal better to some.

If I had to chose one it would be inFamous at this point.

Crackdown is da best.

i like the main character from prototype more like a modern day assassins creed
but the powers from infamous look cool anything with lightening in it and im sold
the city in infamous just looks flat out better imo

inFamous is better.

The city seems to be alive instead of being a background for the game.
The choice of being a Hero or Villain is up to you not the story, plus the story changes depending on which you are.
The developer is better.
The character has more personality instead of just being super-powered

inFamous for me...

They both suck. I tried to play each of them and neither would boot up. It's like they don't even have finished products on the shelves yet. Guess I'm going to have to wait until they patch these buggy messes into something workable.

Download the Infamous videos from the PSN (if you own a PS3). They killed all of my excitement for the game. They looked so repetitive and amateurish!! I still have high hopes for Prototype, though. Luckily, PS3 owners win either way.
