Killzone 2 will be outsold many times over by ODST.

SF4, RE5 and even DMC4 are some of few that sold better and have a Japanese following. They also only have a lead of maybe 200K? Call of Duty games and GTA4 on the other hand have a lead by millions. That's more impressive.

Guitar Hero Metellica out sold the PS3 version.

Other less known games have sold better on the 360 such as Wheelman, Wanted, MLB2K9, Skate 2, Legends of Wrestlemania, H.A.W.X, Genesis Collection, Fear 2, Afro Samurai, etc.

 

And you don't think those games have american following???

GT5 is going against a new Halo not Halo 3. Halo OSD. Halo Wars is canceling all KZ2 sales. What is next?

Your statement now makes a tad more sense. Halo Wars isn't cancelling anything. And to be honest, GT5 isn't going against Halo (anything) either. Two different demographics COMPLETELY.

 

 

Two biggest IPs for Sony and MS. In a sense they are, platinum sellers.

Regardless, they just can't be compared. A game like GT5 will not only sell to an entirely different crowd, but at a different pace as well.

I think topic creator did make this thread to make fun of PS3 and their fans but it is still sales based.

4 of the most popular xbox 360 titles versus 10 of the most popular PS3 titles (MSG 4 is oddly missing though). It is a interesting thing to point out, I didn't realize these sales figures at all, didn't think about it.

These topics are the biggest topics I realized too (many have many pages like this one), when I think of forums I think of this: arguing, stating "facts", talking about beliefs in "quality", mine is better than yours talk, trash talking, etc. Keep up the debating.

All in all though, sales are sales, they're facts. 4 xbox games beat 10 PS3 games (selected ones but still main titles), no way to change that.

The PS3 didn't fail because it's more expensive. It failed because its too damn expensive. And before you fanboys get angry I mean it failed in comparison to previous success Playstation consoles had.

The PS1 and PS2 launched for $300. Price drops soon followed making it $200 and lower.  A fair price people are willing to pay for a gaming machine.

The PS3 on the other hand launched for $600 and 2+ years later it's still more expensive than the launch price of previous consoles. If Sony can't be a success at this price than nobody can.

Despite this, Jboy wins this argument, DOES it REALLY matter? Enjoy your consoles, let MS, Nintendo and Sony duke it out in the market. Guess why, their fierce competition = better games for all of us!!!

 

Had he ended on, "I mean people grow up they are consoles." I wouldn't have said any thing.

However this comment, "of course the cheaper ones are gonna sell before the more expensive ones i mean come on." That was the fanboy in him speaking. My comment was in regards to that. So no... Jboy does not win.

Yes, MS fans have a gene that makes them vastly superior. Read the February edition of Time Life.

Actually what I'm really saying is if the PS3 launched for $300 (as opposed to $600!!!) it would be the top selling console. Obviously the console wouldn't be as powerful or bluray at that price but Sony never won a console war being the most powerful console in the market. I'm not saying that as a fan of any console, company, etc. I owned a PS1 and PS2, if Sony didn't drop the ball on pricing I'd might be a PS3 owner as well.

Of course 360s games are selling more because more 360s have sold than ps3s
i mean just think about it if somebody bought two games for every 360 they bought and same with ps3 then of course the games will sell more
360 is ahead of ps3
I honestly think that if ps3 and 360s sales were the same then the games sales would be the same too
