Trico is Team ICO's third game!!!, and goto Amazon its safer and better
you can look for secondhand 60GB PS3 then you can have backwards compatibility, if you cant find it then go for PS2, buy PS2 now and the games you want, buy PS3 around christmas.
I'd personally go for the PS2. Unless you really want new games? - Then spend the extra money. If you don't have to have new games, and you're fine to settle with the PS2, which already has a massive library for you to select from, get the PS2. You'll have more money left over to buy more games at a cheaper price.
60gig PS3s currently aren't on the market, except on ebay. They have Backwards compatability with PS2 games. Though I don't think all games run smoothly. I'm pretty sure you can the official sony website to see which games are fine, and which games may have some problems.
So I'd say go for the PS2, but give it some more thought.
I would get both or buy a motorstorm 80gb refurbished or something. Both have amazing games. Ps2 has huge library you shouldn't miss and Ps3 has enough titles for me to not play that many Ps2 games on it anymore.
