What if the Wii's demographics consisted of everyone (kids, teens, adults, grandparents, male, female, .etc)?

1. Publishers would develope games on the Wii because it's cheaper and has the largest marketshare.
   
2. The Wii versions of popular games would sell the most.
   
3. Publishers would put out less and less games on the other systems.
   
4. The other systems would sell less and less because they would be lacking in games.
   
5. Nintendo would once again have a monoply on the video game console buisness.
   

Yeah, basically it would be the PS2. Maybe it'll get there at some point, but it's getting a LOT of flak by people. It may have gotten to the point where no matter what Nintendo does, I think people will not regard the Wii as at the level of the PS2. Even if it surpasses PS2 in sales, it will not be its equal, quality wise. We'll see I guess.

Um, it does? The only people it doesn't appeal to are game studio executives, apparently.

I thought the wii appealed to everyone except a minority few? These people can't be categorized but the wii appeals to a significant number of people from all the demographics in the OP.

However, it would never be a ps2 because of satisfaction ratings from "traditional" gamers if that means anything.

It doesn't appeal to everyone? It appeals to a broad enough demographic, obviously, as it has consistently been killing the competition.

It would've been selling even faster,and more games would have been announced.

Nintendo would have a near-monopoly on the gaming scene.
