Forums - Sales - Does Nintendo have something bigger than Wii Sports Resort for X-Mas 2009?

@ saicho Do you own a 360?

Around the Network

Dude, I was responding to Montana who said the Wii lineup was horrible compared to the HD one. I didn't start the talk about FFXIII, that was you. If it's out in Japan in 2009 that's fine, but had not a lot to do with the discussion, as both Montana, me and 99% of the members here aren't from Japan nor does Japan play a very big role in the console sales department anymore.

In Japan it's a massive seller though, obviously. However I haven't heard Monster Hunter 3 from you anywhere. Are you worried about what it will do to Japanese Wii sales?
You said that FFXIII was coming in 2010, perhaps because that's what you want and I corrected your statement, nothing more.As for Monster Hunter III, I didn't have to mention it, becuase the point of my post was to add some HD title's to your biased list. Then again, I wonder why some some Wii 'fans' who have never said something positive about the PS2 and PSP versions have become suddenly Monster Hunter fans.

For extra cash? I guess they make the HD games because of artistic needs? And since when are railshooters no games? Please, try something better. I'm fine with you liking Quantum Theory, but you really try too hard to make Wii look bad.

I don't know, but I prefer to play a good game which has been 3 years in devolopement, than a railshooter or a cooking game that has been a couple of months in devolopement. I don't like Killzone 2 or Halo Wars, and they probably have been made to move both hardware and software, but I can see that they have put some efforts in those title's.

Don't have too, i'm a big GameCube fan and supporter, which has some  of my favourite third-party title's of last-gen, but the whole Wii is a dissapointment, and I just have to compare the games that are good from an objective standpoint with the one's of the competition.

The amount of not biased Nintendo fans that have been forced to brought a second console during the first two years of life the Wii says enough.

I would also like to point out that I own a Wii since December 6 of 2006, two days before the launch day here and for which I did take a week free to play on my new console.

Please note that I haven't said anything bad about HD here. Iabsolutely love my 360 as well, I simply hate the narrowmindedness of so many like you that Wii somehow has nothing to offer. It's proven false and simply sad at this moment.

Perhaps if onrails shooters are you favourite genre.

By the way, DQX and Tales of Graces are two of the title's for which i'm most looking forward, and perhaps the situation will change some day, but i'm talking about now.

@Hero_time88: Dead Space Extraction will have had about 2 years of development by the time it releases. Red Steel 2 will have had close to 3 years development time, Rabbids Go Home will have had 3 years, Pikmin Wii will have had between 2 and 3 years, Punch-Out!! 2 years etc etc..

Anyway if you look at the Wii's lineup so far for the year it does look quite promising..

EXCLUSIVES (out of current gen home systems)

-Grand Slam Tennis
-Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games
-Punch-Out!!

Not bad.. Probably missed quite a few but they're the ones I could think of.. Plus Soriku's post helped with RPG's :P

Then you've got all the multiplats that Wii will have.. Won't list them and also the multiplats that will do really well on Wii or have Wii as their lead platform (Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10)

Others are: Ghostbusters, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Beatles: Rockband, DJ Hero, Guitar Hero V, Band Hero etc..

Pikmin 3 and Red Steel 2 are speculation but everything else it set and Nintendo are sure to suprise us with stuff at E3 so.. I think it's a pretty good year!
