Forums - Microsoft - Reccomend Stickball a Xbox 360 game...or Two

Easter is coming up, and my fiancee is appearently demanding I buy a game for myself...Or two.

So I am trying to figure out what's the best bang for the buck on games I don't own yet.

I'm open to any, and all suggestions. I am thinking on trying to complete my 'Ultimate RPG Collection', so I am looking for RPG suggestions, or other interesting, CHEAP games I have not played.

For now, I'm thinking of:

  • Too Human (Just dropped to $18 on Amazon)
  • Kingdom Under Fire: CoD ($15 on Amazon)
  • Spectral Force 3 ($19.99 on Amazon)

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

If you haven't looked at my Gamercard, I have played (or own):

  • Oblivion
  • Enchanted Arms
  • Phantasy Star Universe
  • Marvel Ultimate Alliance
  • Blue Dragon
  • Eternal Sonata (Just 1k/1k'ed this 2 weeks ago)
  • Mass Effect (Very close to 1k/1k-ing it now, BTW)
  • Fallout 3
  • Kingdom Under Fire: CoD
  • Lost Odyssey
  • Infinite Undiscovery
  • The Last Remnant
  • And probably another one or two I haven't thought of...

I haven't played:

  • Spectral Force 3
  • Fable 2 (suprisingly, I have not)
  • Too Human
  • Operation: Darkness
  • Star Ocean 4 (Will buy...Eventually)

I'm open to some other genres and games, but it has to be something I haven't played. KUF:COD is on the list because it's cheap, and I didn't beat it (also, I'd love to eventually find some VGC-ers to do a 4 player co-op session...I've heard that it totally redeems itself).

Is TH and SF3 worth it?

Too Human isnt worth it IMO.

I would suggest Tales Of Vesperia I guess since you like RPG's. I enjoyed it.

I am a gamer. Not a fanboy, not a troll, a gamer. So when you dont like what I have to say, remember this fact.

Bought ToV on Day-1. Sorry I didn't add that to the list :-p

It's #2 on my gamercard, BTW.

Dead Rising is a fun game no matter what genres you like, and it's really cheap. Your list excludes Madden NFL 06 even though it's right there in your signature. And if your achievements are any indication, you'd do well to play some older games instead of buying new ones.

Go get Fable 2 immediately.

I have another suggestion: Crackdown or Viva Pinata 2. I actually just picked up Crackdown in a £5 bargain bin myself and I cant believe I havent played it till now. Its an arcade-GTA style platforming action game which Im finding very addictive at the moment.

Too Human is not bad, I enjoyed the co-op but at the end of it felt slightly repetitive and wished there was 4 player co-op or that it was an MMO even.

Fable 2 Nuff Said!!

viva pinata is a awesome game, as is perfect dark zero. they are both cheap, but you should really get trouble in paradise.

F2 is a bit over the budget, for now.

Already beat Crackdown and own Dead Rising. I was just posting my RPG collection, and not my normal games list.

  • Too Human (Just dropped to $18 on Amazon) - The price is right, get it. you will sell it in a month when youre done. Amazing game for a week or 2... :)

I can recommend both Spectral Force 3 and Operation Darkness. SF3 is solid and fun, just a bit on the generic side. Operation Darkness got such a bad rap for its fiddly camera that I kind of dreaded playing it (the demo didn't help), but now that I've made my peace with that, I'm finding it to be a campy and awesome little SRPG.

I fucking hate KUF:COD. Don't do that to yourself.
