Forums - Nintendo - Dear irritated North American Wii owners

http://news.spong.com/article/17626/Fatal_Frame_Wii_Never_Leave_Japan

While I agree that there are issues, NOA has said it is not the publisher of the game in the Americas.

It sounds like NCL may have sold off publishing rights outside of Japan and Tecmo does not know the full story.

And NCL -- and NOA -- blocked Earthbound from being reworked for the VC. So sometimes the anger has to be directed to Toyko rather than Redmond.

I sent them an e-mail once, asking if a game was coming for the Wii.

I got an accurate response back from a real guy explaining that the game wasn't coming, but similar titles I could play.

Many people do not listen to you, but someone at Nintendo eventually does. As long as your letter is honest and not disrespectful, you will probably get an honest response back.

I did.

It doesn't hurt to apply a bit more pressure for them to satisfy us :D

They should try harder.

Just keep in mind when you email them that you're emailing a company called Golin Harris, not Nintendo Of America. They are Nintendo's outsourced PR firm. They are an award winning PR firm (one of the best in the country as far as I'm concerned) but what they tell you will always be limited to PR data.

You can't ask them why NOA won't publish FFIV in the US because that data has not been posted in a PR yet.

Email Tecmo. If they want to publish it they can buy the rights back from NOA.

PC + Wii owners unite.  Our last-gen dying platforms have access to nearly every 90+ rated game this gen.  Building a PC that visually outperforms PS360 is cheap and easy.    Oct 7th 2010 predictions (made Dec 17th '08)

Can anyone remember the stories when this agreement was first reached.

For some reason, I do not recall Nintendo ever being listed as the publisher except in Japan.

Of course now, all we have are stories with current Tecmo quotes, so it is tough to find information on the former reality.

NOA never had publishing rights to my knowledge.
