I'm not sure what to think about this. It's a great deal and gives you everything you'd want, but those are two such different games. How many people that don't have a 360 would want Fable 2 and Halo 3?

twestern - What would you prefer? If MS went with a Shooter pack, or something of that nature, it'd alienate anyone that's not interested in shooters.

This way, you get the (literally) best 2 Microsoft IPs in the bundle. This would be like if Nintendo threw in SMG and Zelda:TP, or Sony throwing in Gran Turismo 5 and God of War 3 in a bundle.

I think it's a good pack, it's just weird seeing those two games together because they are such oppsites.  One is a hardcore multiplayer shooter and the other is a deep single player experience.  I just don't think I've ever seen a bundle with two oppsites like that before.

What about the Christmas 07 bundle with Forza Motorsports 2 and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance? Or the Japan Holiday Bundle with Ace Combat 6 and Beautiful Katamari? Or Europe's 07 bundle with Viva Pinata and Forza 2?

There's been lots of strange bundles from MS, but with good games. The only bundle that had similar games, that was official, was the Lego/Kung Fu Panda bundle.

Hmm, guess you're right.  I didn't pay attention to the other bundles because they were all games I didn't actually care about.  This one only caught my eye because I happen to care about those two games.  :-p

Putting value back into the Elite and 2 must have games, might restore the Elite reason to buy status. I would still like to see the unit itself given unique features such as built in Wi-Fi and alike but this is a start.
