Although Midnighter and Apollo come close to being as awesome, mainly because Batman and Superman are totally gay for each other. And for the Joker or Lex Luthor, respectively.

Hey, everyone that are adult and read comics in this thread, i suggest "The boys" by Garth Ennis. He does a good job in exposing super-heroes.

Spawn was awsome in the 50 first issues. Then Mc Farlane shifted his attention to the Collectables he sels and all storytelling went down the drain, IMO.  He is cool as a character, no doubding that,  i just hated what they did with him. (The writers)

I like Spiderman, Batman and the X-men but I only read them when my little brother leaves them aroud the house. I do however watch the Spiderman and X-men animated searies when on TV.


To be fair, I did once read a really good comic book about Superman. Superman: Red Son. It followed what would have happened if Supes landed in the U.S.S.R. instead of the States, and in it he completely takes over the world. I highly recommend it to any comic/graphic novel fans.

 

@ Shigsy. your right, and you to may be resurected. Possibly in a mecha form.

definitively!!! as for favorite hero, it's a tie for me, either punisher or batman. they are both humans that just kick ass. @vonshigsy, spawn was one of my favorites too, i always like anti-heroes, that are just barely more good than bad.

 That sounds pretty cool, I like it when alternative reality stettings are explored, X-men had some pretty good ones too, one where a all-out humans vs. mutants war is played through. I´m pretty sure you can get great storys out of any super hero, for me the designer and story teller is most important.

I don´t really read much Donald Duck anymore eventhough there are tonns flying around from my brother but whenever I see one from Don Rosa I read it because they are always really funny, have a great style and I like that they usually play in the past, for example during one of the big gold rushes.
