Same problem here, I have trouble buying games at the moment. It doesn't help that games are at an high $60 price tag.

I miss the old days of $40 titles on the PS1, PS2. I would pile up JRPG titles with no problem.

Internet hype + interest =/= Real world hype + interest.

There have also been charts in others threads that show how even though it seemed like KZ2 was hyped and talked about a lot it was nowhere close to Halo 3, even when it was a week before release.

the are way too many hatters. no matter how you try and paint it killzone 2 is still the best selling SCEA game out of launch since GT4. and without the holiday boost to help it. that is brilliant in my opinion. this is the ps3 we are talking about the demographic for the ps3 isnt as narrow as the 360's.

The article was about Killzone 2 becoming the fastest Sony developed title to reach 500,000 sales in America, not that it is at 500,000 sales.
